About Alltio

Alltio is the registry and clearing layer for AI content licensing. We hold the record of who owns what and on what terms, so that use can be permitted, attributed, and paid for at scale. We are neutral by construction: we take custody of no one’s data, and we compete with neither side of the transactions we clear.

It began as a payments question

An AI compute token represents something unusually concrete — a unit of processing in a data center, bought with fiat and, in jurisdictions like Singapore, convertible back to it. Unlike a speculative instrument, it is a receipt for work already performed. That makes it a plausible settlement unit for an economy that currently has none. Which raised the obvious next question: how would a creator ever earn one?

Litigation builds nothing

Answering it meant looking at how the training corpus was assembled in the first place. The internet was never built to be a training set; it became one by accident, with no mechanism to record permission or route payment. Those consequences are now being worked out in court, and the first outcomes are landing. But litigation resolves what already happened. A settlement compensates past acquisition. It builds nothing for the next decade of use.

Physical AI has no corpus

The scope widened from creator IP to human knowledge as a whole — and then past it. Generative AI inherited a corpus. Physical AI has none. Sensor, spatial, and operational data was never published under any convention of use, so there is no default to inherit and nothing to litigate after the fact. The missing infrastructure is not better crawling. It is an economic system that makes those datasets worth creating in the first place.

Three pillars, one mechanism

Sixteen business models and eight patent candidates later, that system rests on three pillars:

Registration

establishes that a work exists and on what terms.

Attribution

establishes that it was used.

Settlement

pays for that use in the unit the AI economy already runs on.

The three are one mechanism, not three products. Alltio asks no one to adopt a new currency — only to route an existing one back to the people whose work makes the output worth producing. This infrastructure did not need to exist while the corpus was free. It has to exist before the next one can be built.
